There are several options for the treatment of prostate cancer. My husband had prostate was removed and for 6 weeks. He now knows 39 radiotherapy 5 days per week, which is slightly more than 7 weeks. MF work and comes just at the beginning of their treatment. He has not lost a day to day and is in the middle of his treatment. It is also very healthy and in their fifties. It is for each individual depending on several factors. An older man, or someone with medical problems would probably not be able to work. As you can see, everything depends on the person and the type of treatment that have elected them.

Hello
It's a bit like the question of how long a piece of string. It depends on what type of operation and the age-specific person.
) Laparoscopic and robotic prostatectomy (removal of the prostate have a shorter hospital stay and recovery time than open surgery. Because the practice of small incisions hole laparoscopic (key) and robotic surgery patients can begin very soon and released early mobilization. Some men feel well enough to take 3 weeks to re-light work for others may feel have less than 3 months. 6 weeks is average. The full recovery of continence can be thought of a problem for some men, in turn, the confidence of returning to work is to undermine a factor that must be.
Waiting times for treatment of cancer in the United Kingdom is required is very short and once the decision to treat has been made in our hospital, our goal is to secure an operation. The national targets set by the governmentING is one months waiting for an urgent referral for suspected cancer to start treatment.
I hope this has given you some information. I am available for an additional support when needed.

Hi Vicky, is actually a problem son, and the girls do not have a prostate.
Much depends on how the transaction is completed. The only way to real knowledge trans-urethral resection of prostate (TUR)
As already been suggested that an operation is performed through the urethra under general anesthesia, and after the patient mounted a catheter.
This enables hospital staff to monitor urine output, and what it contains, and at all levels. (Blood, ketones, protein, etc.) that are registered in the fluid graphics. It usually takes 3 to 4 days to stop the urine with traces of blood, the patient can be discharged from the hospital.
After much depends on the patient's age, fitness, etc. How soon can I go back to work, but in general is cancer of the prostate as a mature (older), the disease person.
Hope this helps.

Everyone is different, love .. the person will know how they feel after each transaction, they may feel some discomfort, to cut some people better than others, take it as it comes, the question we ask is difficult to answer the best person to the doctor Mans ask, good luck x
